Sapphire Sound is one of the gated neighborhoods of the SilverLakes Community Association. Its single-family homes were built from about 1995 to 1997 and range from one-story 3-bedroom, 2-bath homes of about 1,220 square feet to two-story 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath homes of about 2,350 square feet, most with 1- or 2-car garages. Common floor plans in recent sales are about 1,221, 1,660, 1,862 and 2,347 square feet. Homes are on SW 29th Court, SW 29th Lane, SW 30th Court and part of SW 179th Avenue.

The neighborhood has its own pool. Residents also have the private Silver Lakes Community Park, with a resort-style pool, playground, sand beach, volleyball, exercise equipment, a barbecue area, a boardwalk, an open field and a pavilion that can be reserved for parties. Silver Lakes Elementary, Memorial Hospital Miramar, Miramar Regional Park and I-75 are close by.
